Weekends finally here! Supposed to get off early today, didn't happen. It's all good though. This one came back home this week (TomB & 66RB Pedigrees):
Nice coins Lee and Paul. I hope the 1915 works out for you as an MPL. Looks like a decent shot there. Here is one of my favorites from Dave's "Thunderbolt" collection I bought last week.
Brian Wagner Rare Coins, Specializing in PCGS graded, Shield, Liberty and Buffalo Nickels varieties.
The coin of the moment. Purchased for $3.00 this spring, listed on eBay last week, sat in the doldrums, rose to $7.05 in the last hour or so, then, in the last three or four seconds....
66RB That unc 1935 DDO...Is a great coin! Everyone should check their 1935s' for that DDO. This one is going BACK to the slab factory so it can be listed on the new Variety Set.

I bought that at this little jewelry/coin shop in 2005, about two years after I got back into coins. I had previously been in the shop in the late 80's when I was around ten years old, and there never seemed to be anybody there each time I went. I think the inventory in the shop is super stale, as many of the flips were yellow and crumbly. I'll bet dollars to donuts that I passed on this coin as a young boy, as it was a ridiculous price for such an ugly common date, $4.50! So when I bought it two years ago, I didn't even haggle on the price
here's one I finally took a pic of, got it from Wayne Herndon when I was in Baltimore this past Spring.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko.
Sometimes you spot something on a dealer's site that makes you go WOW! Not trying to promote the coin (or the dealer) but you gotta love this coin. My hat goes off to those who cared for this piece over the last 200 years - good job and thanks. Is this coin broadstruck, or just somwhat uncentered?
Still waiting on this 1936 Type 3 DDO that was sent and received for a 5 day service on 11/20 at PCGS. Maybe they still have not broken it out of its SEGS holder yet???

A new purchase yesterday, 1955 Triple S. The only one I've ever seen very dramatic triple S, pictures just don't show close-up of the S. Took the photo with a 10X close up lens. But detail still lacking.

Hi Bob, I'm going to wait probably after the new year and send a few others along with it. I have a 55D Double Die I'll probably send along with it also. I got the results from the 64DDR it only went MS-64 RED I thought it had a shot at 65. Loose some win some. I did call back and had them run a Attribution designation on it though to fit it in the new Registry. The other five cross overs are still in the grading process. For some reason I don't have the "add Image" icon to load pictures. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Both of these have been posted here in the past, but not in a side by side (or top to bottom) comparison.

Here's my newp for this week.
Finally got a newp (thanks to the little birdie that tipped me off to the auction)...love these mint set toners:

BUT, there is copper to cheer us all up
but I went through some 05 mint sets, and plucked out his gem.
$346.00.
Lots of detail for a coin that is 338 years old.
As far as the bidding goes, all the action is in the last 5 minutes.
That kind of profit, deserves a "YOU SUCK"
NGC AU58...The coin actually has an ample amount of mint luster remaining that my image does not capture. Need to reimage this one:
